Update on Austin's RSV...

I took Austin to the doctor on Wednesday to do a re-check of RSV and his ears. Also last week he never did get his 4 month checkup because he was so sick, so we were hoping that he would get them at this visit. He did not have a temperature and his oxygen levels were at 97, which is good. His breathing is great and the wheezing has stopped. We don't have to do the breathing treatments anymore, only as needed. He still has an ear infection, so we got a new antibiotic for that, which he will be on for 10 days. The shots had to be put on hold this week too because of the ear infection. We will go back in 2 weeks and hopefully he will be able to get his shots then. When Austin was first diagnosed with RSV I was concerned about Savannah, but the nurse said that if she did get it, it would only be a cold. Savannah started coughing a few days ago, so hopefully it wont be anything serious. We will see.

A few random things that have been going 0n:

I participated in my first consignment sale. I believe it was a success. I sold 28 things out of 55! I am thinking that Austin might be our last, so I thought that we shouldn't keep all of our baby stuff and we have a lot! I did not even get to go through all the totes before the deadline of entering the items in. I did, however, hold off on selling the bassinet. For some reason, I am not ready to part with that yet :) You never know I guess. ;) I have also been able to find a lot of great deals on the kids clothes. I found a lot for Austin, but for Savannah not so much. I am very picky and didn't see so much for her.

Aunt Casey (Corey's sister) brought over a pink Jeep Barbie power wheels the other day. We have been wanting to get Savannah one, but they are so darn expensive! We never could find a good used one. Thanks Aunt Casey! Savannah loves it. The night she got it she was a bit leery because it was dark outside, but the next day Corey took her out and loved it! She got her baby doll, Emma, in it too. Now she asks to go outside and ride it all the time. :)

Recently, I have been really into finding blogs on how to save more money and I have found a great one: savingyourcents.blogspot.com. She is local, so the stores and sales she talks about are the ones that I can find easily. I have been obsessed with looking at these type blogs and learning how to save money. With this economy and me not working because I am in school, we HAVE to be more frugal. I am also going to attempt (yes, I said attempt) to have a plantar garden. I believe in our neighborhood, because of convinces, we cant have a garden, so I am going to make a little one in a plantar. I talked to my granddad and he says I could do tomatoes and bell peppers easily. Which is good, because these things are pretty expensive in the grocery stores. I am excited. I have to wait until the last frost which should be about April 15, then I will get started. I will let you know how it goes :)

Austin is 4 months old!

Austin turned 4 months old 2-14-09 (Valentines Day). The day started out not so good. This past week he has been sick with a runny nose and a bad cough. Friday night he coughed so hard that he threw up. When we were cleaning him up we noticed that his breathing was really bad. It was like when he was born and his lung collapsed. I took him to the doctor first thing Saturday morning and they ran some tests on him and poor baby has RSV! Its a respiratory infectetion. Its highly contagious, so our original plans of watching our neighbors son, Jackson, were not going to happen. He is almost 2 and we were going to watch him so his mommy and daddy could go eat a yummy dinner. Anyways, Austin has a ear infection also, so he is on antibiotics and a breathing treatment. The doctor (who I loved) said that we could treat Austin at home because he is getting good oxygen levels. What a relief! We have to go back on Monday. Austin is doing his breathing treatments pretty well and is doing great. He is acting really good for being so sick. The breathing treatment makes him really hyper. So it was fun putting him on the floor and just letting him play. He started rolling over! We got is weight checked at the doctors and Austin is 18 lbs. He is my big boy.
Right after he rolled over.

My dad came over for Valentine's Day dinner. I made homemade shrimp alfredo. I even went out and caught my own shrimp (just kidding). Thanks grandmom for the recipe! It was a great evening to a hectic day. Dinner was yummy and we all just relaxed.

A few weeks ago, I celebrated my 27 birthday! I had a huge test on my birthday so, it wasn't excatly how I pictured my day, but it was still a good day. I studied all day long. I took a break for lunch and we all went to Longhornes. We used a gift card we got for Christmas. I love restaurant gift cards! Corey and Savannah made a quick dinner for me and got me a cake. Then I was off to school. I love my family so much! I hope everyone had a great Valentines day.
