Corey had his procedure on Tuesday and everything has gone well. He had been resting and trying to get better all week. Meanwhile, I have been taking care of the home front. Kay was able to come and stay with us Monday and Tuesday night, so that made it a little easier, especially since I have to go to school Tuesday and Thursday nights. My mom also came over Tuesday night. Corey's dad was able to come over Thursday night, so I could go to school. Savannah and Austin have been great this week.
Savannah informed me that she wanted to move. I asked here where and she told me in our neighborhood. I told her that we already live here and she said, "no, I want to live next to Jackson". Jackson is our back neighbor. She told me she wants a bigger house and next time she wants her room pink, our room purple, and Austin's room gray. What a stinker! :) It was a pretty cute conversation.

Playstation 3 a blessing in disguise?
I have to tell you about Corey's new toy. Its a Playstation 3. Corey saved his Christmas money and went out and got it and Rockband. I was not thrilled at all about it. In fact, I gave him BIG grief about it. If he was going to use his Christmas money on something like that I would have preferred the Wii. I just figured that the Wii was more family friendly, but I knew Corey had been talking about a Playstation 3 forever, so getting the Wii was pretty much out of the question. So, we got home from Walmart and he started setting it up, meanwhile, I was huffing and puffing and giving him a hard time. After Savannah went to bed we talked about it and I realized that he works very hard for our family and if a Playstation 3 is what the man wants then a Playstation 3 will be fine with me.
How its a blessing:
1. It made me realize how much Corey does for our family. He is a great dad and a great husband. Pretty much everything he does is for us. (Well, I already knew this, it just reminded me again :) )
2. Rockband is fun! Savannah is having a blast with it. She loves to play the drums. I sing and Corey does the guitar. We have been having great family time with it believe it or not.
3. I realized I can really be a baby about things.
Don't get me wrong probably the only thing I will play on it is Rockband, but we are having a blast doing it. Maybe when the kiddies get bigger we will get a Wii :)
On a side note, Austin is sleeping through the night...yeah!!! He has been doing it for about 2 weeks now. We usually lay him down after his last bottle anywhere from 7-10 pm and he wont wake up until around 7-8 am. We are all grateful of that! He has also started laughing at 2.5 months. Only Corey has been able to get a good giggle out of him, but it is so sweet. I am always asking Corey to make him laugh. We love listening to it, its like music to hear our children laugh.

Celebrating Christmas and a happy baby
I really have been slacking on my blogging, but better late than never :) We had a wonderful holiday. Savannah was so into Christmas this year. She was understanding that the holiday was about Jesus and one of the perks was having a visit from Santa. My mom, brother, and my sister's family came over Christmas Eve and we had a wonderful dinner together. Corey's mom had told us about "Hi NORAD". You literally call this number and speak to one of Santa's dispatchers and the person tells you where Santa is at that moment and when he will be at your house. We called that number all day long Christmas Eve until the very last minute of Savannah going to bed. Paulina and Savannah made cookies for Santa and when it was time we put milk, cookies, and an orange for the reindeers. It was so much fun! When I was telling Savannah goodnight she asked me, "when does the sun come out?" I said, "about 5 or so." She said, "oh, okay that is what time I will be get up." I was like okay. Of course she didnt get up ast 5. It was about 8:30 and Corey and I woke her up. We were excited. :) After opening presents we made a gourmet breakfast. Challah french toast and ham. It was yummy. For lunch we went over to Corey's dads house and then for dinner we went to Casey's house. It was a great day, but one day I would love to just stay at home all day.

Christmas morning

Our wonderful breakfast

The next week was New Years and we didn't do anything. The night before New Years Eve we were in the ER from 9:40 pm to 8 am. I had been experiencing some pain in my stomach. It felt like I had food poising, but it wasnt it was just a bacterial infection in my stomach. GROSS. So by the time midnight came Corey and I were in bed and shortley after the clock turned 12 we were asleep.

Austin is doing great. He has been sleeping through the night. Yeah! He has been a happy baby boy. I love listening to way Savannah talks to him. Her eyes get wide and her voice gets really hight pitch and she says "hey big boy, are you awake?", she says it over and over again. It is so funny!
We love our baby boy!
